ConocoPhillips is proud to be part of Qatar's journey toward a sustainable and prosperous future. Our relationship with QatarEnergy on North Field projects began in 2003 and now includes participation in three significant Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) projects in the country.

The QatarEnergy LNG N(3) project, with offshore facilities in the North Field and onshore facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City, was developed by a joint venture among QatarEnergy, ConocoPhillips and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. The centerpiece of this project is a 7.8 million tons per annum (MTPA) nameplate LNG facility, which started production in 2010 and supplies LNG to customers in Asia and Europe.

In 2022, ConocoPhillips further solidified our commitment to Qatar's resource development. Through two new joint ventures with QatarEnergy, we are contributing to the North Field East (NFE) and North Field South (NFS) projects, which will increase Qatar's LNG production capacity from 77 MTPA to 126 MTPA.

The expansion of production from the North Field and the associated onshore facilities signifies a new era of energy abundance in Qatar. The commencement of LNG production from the North Field expansion projects will mark a significant milestone in Qatar's resource development journey.

ConocoPhillips Qatar is honored to support QatarEnergy in shaping a future where Qatar's vast resources contribute to a thriving and resilient global economy.
