At ConocoPhillips, we understand that responsible energy production requires meaningful collaboration with diverse global partners. Our commitment to safety, health and environmental stewardship makes us the ideal partner as Qatar’s energy sector participates in the energy transition.

Through our collaborative efforts with QatarEnergy and QatarEnergy LNG (formerly known as Qatargas), ConocoPhillips Qatar is dedicated to contributing to the advancement of the energy industry.

Qatar stands as our sole home in the Middle East, and ConocoPhillips Qatar prides itself on its longstanding and mutually beneficial relationship with QatarEnergy. This partnership dates back to 2003, marked by the signing of a Heads of Agreement to develop QatarEnergy LNG N(3), one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar.

Currently, QatarEnergy is in the process of developing the North Field East (NFE) project to raise the country’s LNG production capacity from 77 million tons per year (MTPA) to 110 MTPA. NFE represents the first phase of Qatar’s planned LNG expansion. The second phase, known as the North Field South (NFS) project, is expected to further increase Qatar’s LNG production capacity from 110 MTPA to 126 MTPA.
